The dog park is a magical place,
Where dogs can go to put a smile on their face.
Running around in such wide open fields,
You think it’s impossible to make them all yield
When it’s time to go home because they are wild
But you needn’t worry, that’s how it is styled.
The young and the old will find that they tire,
Sinking to drowsy from such an excited fire.
Take off their leashes and let them dash around,
They’ll be so happy with all the new friends they have found.
They line up each to stake their claim,
“This is mine. Mine. Mine! All in my domain!”
But then they move on and some one else comes along,
They are happy as long as their hearts are in song.
Just don’t tell them that it’s time to go.
Be kind and say “It’s dinner time, no?”
With a tired wag of their once vigorous tail,
They’ll hope in the car and toward food they will sail.
